St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School recently won a gold award in the Centre for Marketing Schools’ 2015 National Awards with its website designed and developed by DesignbyLook.

With over 13 awards in website, prospectus and video handed out, the St Paul’s award topped the website category with the aim of the awards to applaud quality promotion of a school and to show best practice in the use of new communication techniques.

The entries for the website category this year were of a high standard, with close scoring seen by the winning websites. Out of a possible 660 points, the St Paul’s website scored 564, which is an average score of 8.5 out of 10 per individual criteria.

The award judges called the website ‘fantastic’ and said it gave a sense of real school community and school culture.

The evaluation by the judges of the St Paul’s website was that it was clear, logical and informative with the home page appealing and inviting you to find out more.

The judges also said the videos on the home page where students and parents are talking about why they love the school, create an added dimension on the window into the school, and add emotion to words.

St Paul’s Anglican Grammar School Marketing Manager Caroline Jewell said the new website has led to higher traffic and longer engagement in key areas of the site with prospective families and the existing school community.

She said the award win is a fantastic surprise and is nice recognition that our new website is on the right track.

“We previously had a basic site and the new mobile responsive site is really easy for us to use. The templates have allowed us to have information updated and ready for our community quickly.”

DesignbyLook’s Managing Director Brady Downes said his team was really pleased with the win as it rounds out another national website award for their agency, following on from the Stuartholme website win last year.

The fully responsive website was designed using a mix of WordPress and custom templates and features simple two-click navigation and clear calls-to-action on every page.
