Mount Alvernia College website

Mount Alvernia College website

Leading Brisbane Catholic secondary college for girls, Mount Alvernia College, recently launched a dynamic, fully responsive website designed by DesignbyLook.

Designed to showcase the College’s iconic brand colours, hero images and key messages, the website is engaging to both the school community and prospective students and their families.

The website was designed using a mix of WordPress and custom templates and features simple two-click navigation and clear calls-to-action on every page.

Brady Downes, Managing Director of DesignbyLook, said “Mount Alvernia’s website home page is prime web real estate and encourages its readers to undertake key calls to action such as engaging with the Principal, enrolling, downloading the prospectus and finding out more about the College Open Day.”

Key messages feature on the home page banners, each one linking to a key attribute that the school offers its students and tying in nicely with the existing Prospectus communication. DesignbyLook worked closely with the College’s marketing team on copy and image selection.

Hero buttons at the top of the home page also encourage prospective families to find out the main things they want to know – eg Fee Schedule and Enrol Now.

The College campus has recently undergone substantial redevelopment by leading Brisbane architects, and the website features beautiful imagery of the new facilities, including the impressive working garden and home economics kitchens.

The website was designed so that the marketing team at Mount Alvernia can easily access the back end and update the website as and when required.

Mount Alvernia College’s Marketing Coordinator, Camilla Horn, said, “The website is a key tool to communicate everything we have to offer to prospective families and an important part of our communications with our current school community. We’re really pleased with the new look and how easy it is to manage.”
